How we cut Baltic transit times by 18%

New winter routing and dedicated ice-class capacity are paying off for northern shippers.

A tougher winter season

Ice conditions in the northern Baltic tightened earlier than forecast last year. Several carriers cut sailings, and transit times rose across the region.

We responded by contracting dedicated ice-class capacity and rebuilding our routing around live ice charts. The result was an 18% drop in average transit time compared with the previous winter.

What changes for shippers

Bookings now show an ice-adjusted arrival window from day one. If conditions shift, our control tower updates the plan and notifies you before the vessel leaves port.
